ST 686's Southern Railway heritage is bleeding through the shoddy Guilford paint as it sits in Lawrence Yard. Paul R. Kranowski photo, from the Ralph L. Phillips collection of the Bay State Model Railroad Museum.

A side view of the train seen at a more head on angle elsewhere. I believe this is JET 1, which was typically overpowered, probably in hopes there would be enough units still running at the end of the trip to get it into the terminal.
My notes dont show what train this is, but it was parked at Bevier St. At the time, JET 1 was the only train that did not yard at East Binghamton, so Im guessing this is JET 1 waiting on a crew. In a nice touch, the leader is one of the B&Ms last order of new power, GP40-2 303.
