With rail crews and other MOW activity happening at the three remaining locations where trilights still stand ongoing, Craig and I decided to move west to Union City. As of now, Union City has no signs of being replaced, but Im certain that will be changing here soon. We knew we had a parade of westbound traffic coming that was still a little ways off, but it didnt take too long before it showed. CSX M217 led the pack with a YN3b AC4400CW on the point.

The PO-3 crew takes the power for M427 with CSXT 8872 - CSXT 101 - CSXT 486 down to CPF-201 then crosses over to the Rigby Lead track to get their train in the yard.

The coal train had a visitor from afar in the form of these CSX units, one in "bright future," the other in "dark future." We dont see too many of these here.

The northbound train is stretched out along MO 59 between Lanagan and Anderson. This is a good spot in the late afternoon, as the orientation is such that theres good side light. We can also see all seven units here, including a pair of CSX GEs that must be lost.

The power set on the empty train was being used to balance power, and had 7 units up front, along with another pair in back. This is the head end rolling past the crossing north of Dorsey, and we see the only KCS unit on the train.

After rolling through Dorsey, the train passes the creek at MP 213, just south of Gravette

The coal train starts its 122 empties north out of the siding at Gentry.
