This MEBU was waiting to meet an eastbound at West BD behind a solid set of Guilford power. Guilford had just cut the D&H loose, putting it into bankruptcy after losing a battle to impose Springfneld Terminal work rules.
BUME behind three Guilford painted units rolls along the rock wall next to NY 17 just east of Corning with 48 cars. This was a challenging shot for an eastbound, as you had to stand on the shoulder of westbound NY 17, an expressway. Timing had to be good, as you could not stop here long. I got it right this sunny morning, catching three Guilford units, one each for the component roads, though the leader and trailing units had been "transferred" away from the D&H.
