I had not been to this location prior to this visit, and was not aware of what kind of structure would be there. I have to admit, its a good sized bridge, and obviously serves its purpose, but its not the most photogenic bridge Ive ever seen.

Description:  The use of a single unit on coal trains was not typical, as they usually got a total of five units over the Heavener Sub. At this time, the practice was to put a pair of DPUs about 85 cars deep in the train, with one on the rear, a 2x2x1 arrangement. This is the "1", an SD 70ACe bringing up the rear on this 125 car AEPX train.

Description:  The spread of eastern Oklahoma, Cherokee territory, is seen in this view of a northbound grain train just north of Westville. View is from what was then two lane US 59, which is going up a hill at this point. The new, four lane US 59 would open in 2016 about midway up the frame, roughly where the barbed wire fence is, relegating the road Im on to local access for some farms and a church. Its a much better vantage point now without the traffic.

Description:  I dont get out in the morning much-just not my time of day-but I was out this day and caught a southbound 47 car H train a few miles north of Westville, near a location the railroad calls Hudson.
