Description:  Not on the soccer field. This 114 car H train has what has become a common event, a Belle leader. The score is the trailing unit, an SD 50. These units are often seen on work trains, but now only rarely on freight. This was quite a catch.

Description:  This grain train was waiting north of Stilwell, most likely for a meet. Why they were held up here is a mystery, since the siding there is quite long enough to hold a 100 car train without blocking any crossings. Made the shot easy for me though.

Description:  I had just quit on a chase of a southbound oil train, and was coming back through town when I heard a horn. Ten minutes behind the oil train was this stone train. I was able to get onto US 59 south and head for the overpass. I wasnt fast enough, so we have this grab shot of it having passed the south end of the siding, approaching the US 59 bridge. Ill have to try this shot again when I can set up for it. There are not many chances for an overhead view that are easy to reach, so this has potential.

Description:  US 59 from Watts south to Westville is being upgraded to a four lane. As part of this improvement, there has been a lot of tree and brush cutting, resulting in some better photo opportunities. One of these is the bridge over Barren Creek, just south of Watts, where we see a southbond 111 car grain train.

Description:  The US 59 widening project has meant some serious tree and brush clearing. One place that got it was the area around Chewey Rd, between MP 238 and 239. Prior to the project, it was treed in. Now its wide open, creating a shot I had wished existed for years. Here we have a southbound H train approaching the curve, and the following two shots as it makes its way through. This was taken right from the shoulder of US 59.
