Title:  ACL 4-6-2 #1502 - Atlantic Coast Line
Description:  Built by Alco-Richmond in March of 1919 as ACL 4-6-2 Pacific #495, it was later renumbered in 1919 to ACL #1502. The loco was scrapped in Spetember of 1951 at Waycross, GA. Specs - P-5-A class, 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 278,000 lb and tractive effort of 40,750 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  Good looking 4-6-2 Pacific built by Alco-Richmond in March of 1919 as Atlantic Coast Line #500 but later renumbered to ACL 1507 in 1919. Description:  This "light" 4-6-2 Pacific design standardized by the government-run USRA in WWI served the Atlantic Coast Line well. This one was built by Alco-Brooks in 1919 and could handle both freight and passengers. The loco lasted for nearly 33 years until it was scrapped in October of 1952 at Waycross, GA. Description:  Here is a sharp 4-6-2 Pacific designed by ACL and Baldwin as "dual purpose" Pacific to handle freight but assist in passenger service when needed. The whitewalls give it a sharp, classy look for a freight loco. It lasted in revenue service until being retired and scrapped in March of 1952. Specs - class P-5-bs, 69" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 286,345 lb, tractive effort of 45,275 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  Built by Baldwin in June of 1924, Atlantic Coast Line 4-6-2 #1694 was a solution that the ACL and Baldwin mechanical engineers designed as a dual purpose locomotive to take care of the growing needs of both passengers and freight. Baldwin built a total of 165 of these between 1922 and 1926. ACL #1694 lasted until being scrapped in April of 1953 at Waycross, GA. . Specs - P-5-B class, 69" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 285,745 lb, tractive effort of 45,275 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  This early Baldwin 4-6-2 Pacific was built in March of 1914 as Atlantic Coast Line #301 but was first quickly renumbered ACL 414 and then again in 1951 as ACL 2414. The P-3s class Pacific lasted nearly 37 years before being retired and scrapped in November of 1951 at Rocky Mount, NC. Specs - 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, engine wt of 226,800 lb, tractive effort of 33,400 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo.
