SLSF 4-6-2 #1018 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)         
Baldwin built the St Louis-San Francisco 4-6-2 Pacific type loco #1018 in January of 1910 (serial #34157). It was stremlined to pull the premier "Firefly" route between Kansas City, MO and Tulsa, OK. The modified streamlining done in 1939 during an rebuild consisted of a cone nose and side valances. The psi boiler pressure was increase to 200, the drivers were increased to 73", the weight increased to 243,500 lb but the tractive force went down to 37,600 lb. The loco was eventually scrapped in May of 1950. Original specs - 69" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, engine wt of 225,500 lb and tractive force of 40,800 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo and no exact day in 1947 was given.
