UP 5434 heads into the loop at Walong. Although the speed limit isnt much, trains get right with the program and do not waste any time getting over this arduous segment of railroad.
After sitting at Tehachapi for a couple of hours while meeting some eight southbounds, UP 5434 finally got its opportunity to go, and is rolling into the loop three and a half hours after departing Mojave. How do you like those Espee signals? True US&S classics and a vanishing breed.
