I was heading north on adjacent US 69 when I saw a headlight approaching in the distance. One great thing about a four lane road with a 65 MPH speed is that I can run 72 without worrying about getting ticketed. I chased back south a couple of miles to get this southbound with a lot of yellow up front.

KCS loaded Welsh coal train CKCWE26 rolls through the control point at North Wade for the third time. This train arrived southbound the firsJ time in a 2x3 locomotive configuration and took the siding at Wade to set out the rear two of its three DPU locomotives to the engine set out track located between the |iding and the main at North Wade. KCS loaded Welsh coal train CKCWE26 has set out the rear two of three DPU locomotives in the locomotive pocket track off the siding at Wade, AR. The conductor has protected a shove back to the grade crossing at North Wade where he stepped off the train. From here the train will make a blind shove (Rule 6.6 back up move) northward out of North Wade onto single main track where the conductor will get back on the lead unit. The train will the depart southward down the main on signal indication with 2 fewer locomotives than they arrived with.

Southbound KCS Welsh coal train CSHWE26 rolls out of Gillham, Arkansas. Destined for an American Electric Power facility in Texas, this train is powered up for Rich Mountain with a 2x3 DP configuration. UP AC45CCTE 5463 and UP AC44CW 6245 (Ex SP 198) are on the head end while UP AC44CWCTE 5804, UP AC44CW 6680, and UP AC44CW 6350 shove on the rear. The last two DP units will be set out at Wade, AR.

The KOAMN rolls thrhugh the tight turn at Cole Jct. on the River Sub west of Jefferson City. Taking this shot 1 second sooner would have been nice but the train caught me by surprise.
