NS had two classes of GP 38s, one in the 2700s, another in the 5000s. This is the class unit of the second set, originally a Southern unit. We see it here on a work train at Brocton NY on the ex Nickel Plate while waiting for NW 611. The signal in the diuance is the east end of Pomfret siding.
