The efforts of a dedicated group.
Dedicated polishing of every part leads to that incredible shine!
A team of polishers does the trick!
Simply put, hard work with a polish cloth!
Interesting bit of detail on the Leviathan, one of very few anachronisms obvious on the train. Note the latest date of March 31, 1898. Nevertheless, a beautiful detail item.
The sand dome carries the Leviatian number, 63.
The bell would have been rung most of the time during the original strip from Washington, D.C., to Springfield, IL.

Beautifully detailed locomotive also built by Mr. David Kloke.
Polishing the Leviathan must be a daily duty to keep it sparkling. The silver domes are part of the roofline of the Indiana Welcome Center along I-80/I-94 expressway.
The Lincoln Funeral Train represents the fine craftsmanship of Mr. David Kloke and his incredible team of volunteers.
The 4-4-0 Leviathon replica heads up the Lincoln Funeral Train.
It looks funnier than it really is. BNSF 8358 pushes Leviathan 63 north through BNSF's Galesburg Classification Yard in preparation for the 2015 Railroad Days. Notice the orange mesh fencing on the rear handrail of 8358. In the foreground, BNSF 1817 had just pulled up, and will soon shove back to grab a cut of cars off the hump tracks.
One last shot of this beautiful 4-4-0 turned out to be the best, in my opinion.
Isn't she just gorgeous?
Reverse moves were a lot easier back then.
Here she comes.
101 looks on as Leviathan and a Union solider pose.
The onlookers were quiet during this scene.
While this isn't 100% accurate, few words can explain the emotion shown.
Polished to a shine.
Of course we had to see a run by as well.
Checking ammunition.
Standing at attention.
Straight from The Union.
Resting between trips.
How fancy.
101 could easily be called the fleet leader for L&WV, and here she is with the special guest.
The main attraction for today.
