An EL Freight about to take the Blomsburg branch with an A-B-A set of F-7's, a GP-7 and two GP-35's. My railfan buddy Dean Crupland admiring the lash-up.
Erie Lackawanna F7 7111 at Croxton Yard, Secaucus, New Jersey on an unknown day in July 1972, photographer unknown, Chuck Zeiler collection. The slide is stamped HJB COLL. This locomotive was built in January 1950 as Erie 711A (c/n 10112) on EMD Order 6006A, becoming EL 7111 upon Erie's merger with the DL&W. The track in the foreground can't be too important, there is only one bolt at each rail joint.
