A total of 37 class ME were built, all by the German factory Henschel for the Danish State Railways (DSB). With a power output of 2460 kW they reach a maximum speed of 175 kph / 109 mph.

The DSB class ME are a series of diesel-electric locomotives, introduced in 1981. They are powered by a 16 cylinder GM E645E3B diesel.
