Moving into Ansonia, we grabbed CSX L428 departing the yard for Sidney splitting the QI 189 pair. The cantilever is all ready to go. Just needs the heads to be turned...
Taken circa 1992 by an unknown photographer.
CSX 3066 is on M-433 at Ridgefield Park, NJ 10/6/2022.
Local power tied down in Oakworth Yard in Decatur.
CSX 8016 (SD40-2), CSX 6091 (GP40-2) and an unknown Geep sit on the south side of the Fayetteville, NC yard. Seen from Wall St.

Autorack train Q276-07 rumbles into Connellsville with a pair of SD40-2s getting it done. This train is so long that it almost always gets cut into two trains in Connellsville because it is too big to take into the mountains. Since the retirement of the GE C40-8s I have pleasantly noticed more SD40-2s being used on CSX trains again.

CSXT phosphate rock train goes from southbound to westbound
Train 751 has come through Belden tunnel and is now on the north side of the mountain, rolling through Nineveh, where the old Penn Division left the main. There is still a siding here, the south end at Nineven Jct is now CPF 590. This train is meeting southbound 556 here. The crew will enjoy the scenery as it heads for the north end of the siding at Afton-CPF 587
Train 751 rolls slowly into the south end of Bevier St yard, the rear of its train still coming across Conraik at BD. A mix of GATX and CSX units have todays train in hand for the trip uphill to Belden.
The 751 train starts up Belden hill from Bevier St, the rdar of the train still in the yard. It looks like a hellacious climb-and it is at times-but here, because the new connection to the NYSW, seen below, slopes down, the grade looks worse than it really is. It still aint easy!!
A 751 phosphate train works hard at Nowlan Rd in Hillcrest behind four SDs as it makes for the Belden tunnel and eventually Montreal with a train of phosphate rock that originated on CSX near Tampa
Through Wabash Ave with solid EMD power.
