CSX Railroad (CSX) 2296 - Rebuilt EMD Road Slug

One of the WCI Steel Switchers that aren't rotting in Mcdonald, this one awaiting its next lease assignment

One of many CSX Road Slugs awaiting lease or likely scrap at LTEX. No idea if this unit is still around.

All different types of Units, a few missing down the line I guess I didn't take pictures of them. Some out of frame as well.

Q349 is on Track 1 working a train that reaches back into the yard, while a tie gang is on Track 4 cleaning up after some crossties just got replaced.

Q349 is westound in Broadford with an all-EMD engine mineup which is becoming rare in this era of CSX. Unfortunately word has it that the 8724 and 2296 are sold and headed to LTEX in Ohio.

The conductor guides the way as the engines from Q353-13 reverse back to their train which was left on the mainline while working the yard. CSX 2296 is former CSX 4124 GP30 and BO 6937 GP30 built in November 1962. Works together with CSX 6908.
