An SD30C-ECO, a GP20C-ECO, and an honest to Pete SD40-2 in new CP paint sit on the ready track at Humboldt Yard early on the evening of the Saturday of the July 4 weekend.
H15 sits at the west end of the yard.
Built March 1981; 5105 built October 1984 as CP 5867.

Q281 westbound at Amsterdam. It was quite surprising to see CP power! This scene has changed in 2018, with the signal bridge replaced in the wake of Irene in 2011, the telegraph lines replaced years later and 6000 has likely been retired.

Train 252 arrives at Binghamton, passing the classic Agway feed mill at the south end of Bevier St with the usual SD 40-2s and a SOO SD 60. Note all the CP units are in dual flags.
Train 413 has just cleared Bevier St and is chomping into the grade at Phelps St with 104 cars.
H-13 switches out customers on the island.

CP H15 at Chestnut Street.
This was taken from what used to be the Lumber Rd overpass at the east end of Gang Mills yard. It was removed when NY rebuilt adjacent US 15/NY 417. Too bad, was a great place to watch the action.
CP 6000 leads train 167 over the Chenango River and on to Toronto. In many cases a unit number like 6000 would be a class unit, but not here. Its just another of several hundred SD 40-2s.
Most photos of the bridge at Harpursville show he view from where the former Penn Division crossed NY 7. In the longer days of the year, late in the day a photo could be worked from the north side of the bridge, from a parking area on NY 235. Here we see such a view of train 413, which apparently got a late start-its nomally a morning departure out of Binghamton, with 104 cars.
