To my surprise, once I got back, the RC Job had begun to pull a string of cars out of the yard. I quick positioned myself at the Concord Street crossing to nab a shot of it. When Dad and I were here last year, the RC Job was a Pacman SD40-2 and a GP20C-ECO. Today, its a GP20C-ECO and a rebuilt SD40-2. Not quite as exciting, but Ill take it. This would ultimately end up being the final train of the day. I heard a IAIS train get a warrant from the west into Davenport, but it would not show up before it got dark. I had plans to get Panera Bread for supper since I was dealing with some stomach issues earlier in the day. But thanks to waiting forever on the IAIS train that didnt show, I ended up having to settle for Burger King instead. Oh well. Back to the hotel for a good nights sleep and another day of trains the next day. I added another 22 train today, bringing the grand total up to 46 for the trip so far. Not bad! One more almost full day of trains before meeting with the rest of the youth group later in the evening!
We had hopes of chasing the 2226 after it made up it's traIN, but that took way to long to happen. Hopper is new.!
Pushing some tank cars past us as we shot away.
