A pair of SD70MAC’s are on a loaded westbound coal train.
The ex Frisco from Memphis to Kansas City is a big route for coal trains from the southeast. Here, one heads west going back to the mines for more coal.
Sometimes it feels like BNSF is taking over around here. The daily empty oil train had these four engines for power today. They are pulling up to switch tracks and head into the middle of the yard. The train would leave a lot later.
This SD70MAC in the "executive" paint scheme was one of four engines to come in on K055. Now the power is going to be put away in the yard.
Northbound manifest reaches the top of the grade at Rich Mmuntain.
BNSF Northbound Empty Taconite Train U-BIRSEM ( Birmingham, Al. to Steelton, Mn. ) has just departed East Thomas Yard to begin their journey to Memphis, Tn. via the Birmingham Sub & destined for Steelton, Mn. to be loaded with more tcconite to be delivered back to Flint Ridge for U.S. Steel, definitely nice to see something other than the ever so prevelant sea of orange that BNSF presents on most"of their trains, luckily Birmingham is still a great place to catch some awesome consists on all the railroads that run in the steel city of the south of Birmingham3 Al. The BNSF Transfer is among my favorite BNSF trains to catch in the Birmingham area & the L-840 as well that run with the older 4 axle power & some still in prexecessor paint schemes such as BN & Santa Fe
BNSF 9654 leads a northbound freight at Old Monroe on BNSF's K-Line.
BNSF U-KEEMAD.
Two SD70MACs bring a heavy tac train through Park Jct on MT2. Sure is nice to see an exec scheme unit leading the way.
U-MADALL
The consist on this Joint Line Southbound wouldn't have sucked if that lead unit was in the back...or in a scrap yard.
NS 417 clears CP 194 with power mirroring that of CSXs E942 of the day
Shoving on the back of the coal loads as it heads towards Northtown Yard.
