BNSF Railway (BNSF) 2003 - Rebuilt EMD GP38-2

One of many old BNSF units recently sold to LTEX. All of these have an uncertain future and will either be leased or Scrapped. This one is likely still on site in 2026.

More diesels than you can find in a hobby shop display case bask in a mild sun at Northtown Yard on a Wednesday afternoon.

Looking southwest from the St Anthony Parkway overpass. In the foreground are the storage locomotives being passed by BNSF 1913. Behind those are two old BN cabooses. The Minneapolis Skyline also adds a nice touch.

These and many other locomotives are being stored at the BNSF Northtown Yard.

BNSF 2003 was running long hood forward, coupled to a number of cars in the "lower yard" at Rock Island, IL, on 1-27-2012. Not much I could do about that pole that snuck into the picture.
