AMTK 288 leads the Coast Starlight southbound on an intermittently cloudy morning
With train 171 passing the Amtrak Station at Old Saybrook, CT. Color print scan.
226 in storage. A few months later, it went to Ohio Central, then went to MM&A. It has since been scrapped. 288 also went to Ohio Central.
Three units in storage. 288 & 271 went to work on Ohio Central. I think 301 also did.

Nearly new F40PHR brings train #22, the northbound "Inter-American", under Roosevelt Road and into Union Station. AMTK 288 was later OHCR 288. Date of photo approximate.

Amtrak 35, the westbound "Desert Wind", is about 2 hours late and not surprising, being led by the UP unit. Must have had some problems on the old LA&SL.
A amtrak F40Ph in boston. The catenary has already been installed and the F40's days are numbered. This picture was taken by my dad on his trip to boston so i dont know tke date or much else about this photo.
