PRR L5pdg #7808 - Pennsylvania RR
Title:  PRR L5pdg #7808 - Pennsylvania RR
Description:  This is one of those missing links between steam locomotives and electric locomotive. With drivers that would appear at home on a steam engine, it nonetheless is on an electric loco. This side rod electric built by the PRR Altoona shops and GE was a 3rd rail DC unit with a 1-B-B-1 wheel configuration adn 80" drivers. One of only 6 experimental L5pdg units built - proved to be unsuccessful. Shot while in the Meadows yard. The day in 1933 is approximate.
