This northbound empty sand train was stranded here at Watts by the flooding. It is being passed by a ballast extra(Herzog cars) that has just dumped its train on the repaired washout section.
This southbound H train breaks the late afternoon silence of sleepy Westville.
This trio of Belles pulls the light from the low late day sun, making the colors saturate on this 69 car H train just north of Westville.
This southbound AEPX train was like most at the time, having a pair of KCS units about 85 cars deep, along with one on the rear. The mid DPUs approach the crossing just north of the Hudson Foods feed mill.

NS 339 with 3 KCS Belle Motors passes the BN Transfer and 27th Street in Birmingham.
NS Southbound Freight Train 339 ( Birmingham, Al. to Meridian, Ms. ) passing through Control Point Burstall in Bessemer, Al. with a trio of Southern Belle SD70ACe's for power. Trios of SD70ACe's aren't very common, although I have caught this particular power consist 3 or 4 times, it's very sporadic. 339 runs as M-NSSH ( Norfolk Southern in Meridian, Ms. to Shreveport, La. ) via KCS
