Nice roster shot of former Monon Alco C420 #517 now wearing the Indiana Hi-Rail #1334. Inbetween, the loco also wore the L&N number 1334. Eventually the loco would be formally renumbered IHRC #334. The Indiana Hi-Rail Corporation only lasted from 1981 to 1998 before declaring bankruptcy. No photographer was listed for this color slide which is now part of my rr collection. As a Hoosier, I'm always glad to post an Indiana-related rr photo and it can't be much better than this since it includes a nod to my Hoosier Monon RR! |
