SLSF GP40-2 #761 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco) |
| Description: |
EMD built this loco in May of 1979 as St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco) GP40-2 #761 (serial #786186-12). It rolled over to the BN roster after the merger and became BN 3051. Around 2004, it was sold to Kansas City Southern, rebuilt and renumbered KCS GP40-3 #4811 and later KCS #2961. Around 2018, it was repainted in the spectacular red, yellow and black paint scheme. It is still on the active list as of 2025. This color slide comes from the Conniff collection and is now part of my rr collection. |
