Seaboard Coast Line GP40 #1523 was built by EMD in May of 1966 originally as Seaboard Air Line GP40 #608 > SCL #1523 > SBD #6679 > rebuilt by MPEX to MARC GP40WH-2 #62. As of 2012, it may have been sidelined or on a scrap line - unsure of its disposition. An unidentified rail fan took this photo at the RFP Acca Yard in Richmond, VA and the photo is now in my rr collection. |
