Canal Map of Hollidaysburg, Part 2, c. 1840
Old Time PRR. Here is part two of a map of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, c. 1840. It was prepared by Andy Cicak of Rails-To-Trails of Blair County during August of 1993. Depicted here are the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal's boat basin facilities where canal boats were pulled out of or slipped back into the water. Note that the basin was 1,605 feet long and 120 feet wide, all of which had been excavated by men and mules!
