SP 291 is parked with its commuter cousin. The two-tone grey car at left (SP 2170) is one of several Southern Pacific Pullman coaches preserved by the Sacramento Southern Railroad, and the California State Railroad Museum. These cars were used on the Peninsula Commute run in the Bay Area, as well as some long-distance trains across the whole SP system. SP 291 was built by Budd for use on the Sunset Limited in the 1950s. |
