T&P 4-6-2 712         
Texas & Pacific 4-6-2 712 was at the Texas Pacific-Missouri Pacific Terminal Railroad of New Orleans’ RACE STREET YARD. The loco had been built by Alco’s Brooks Works (61291) in December 1919, was modernized in October 1940 and was retired in February 1953. On the next track was TPMPT Alco S1 number 3, built in November 1940. It was renumbered 6602 in 1963, retired in November 1966 and sold to the Washington & Western in Clifton, Louisiana the following month. The W&W sold it to the Railway Equipment Leasing Co. for parts January 1981. (approximate date of photo)
