| This older reprint shows the 1912 Alco-Schenectady 4-6-2 Pacific SLSF #1046 sitting in an unidentified location that looks like St Louis yards. Original specs - serial #50559, class 1040, 69" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, engine weight of 260,500 lb, tractive effort of 40,805 lb. Later the Frisco shops rebuilt them into oil burners with not much change in the tractive effort. This loco was scrapped on 11/20/1950. No location, date or photographer was listed for this photo. |
