PRR 4810, GG-1, 1963         
Electric Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in July of 1963. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4810, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built by General Electric in July of 1935, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retired in July of 1969 after 34 years of faithful service. The road numbers of the other four locomotives pictured are not recorded.
