PRR "Pennsylvania 9631," AF-16, 1961         
Sweetland. Here is a postal card entitled "Pennsylvania 9631." No Postmark. Caption On Reverse: "Alco model FA-2, Pennsy class AF-16, is a 1600 h.p. road locomotive. No. 9631 leads an A-B-A set of these Schenectady-built units on a merchandise freight through Tipton, PA, in 1961. Photo by David R. Sweetland." Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #9631, an unidentified "AF" Class B-unit, and #9620. #9631 was built in December of 1951, while #9620 was built in November of 1951; both were retired in January of 1967 after just 16 years of service.
