Brett, "Speed and Security," Front Side, 1926         
Here is the front side of an unused postal card entitled "Speed and Security." Shown here is a painting called "Speed and Security" that was created in 1924 by Mr. Harold M. Brett (1880–1955). It depicts the "Broadway Limited" passing over the Susquehanna River via the Rockville Bridge a few miles north of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5357, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata in March of 1924 and retired in February of 1949 after 25 years' service.
