Delivered to Burlington Northern as C&S 7915 SD40-2 in June 1979, this EMD would become BN 7915 once Colorado & Southern was folded into Burlington Northern in 1981. This unit would become BNSF 7915 and given a full H1 repaint before retirement on November 18, 2008 and returned to it's lessor. Helm would place this unit in their lease fleet as HLCX 7915 in patched H1 paint until purchased by GWI and assigned to Dallas, Garland, and Northeastern, arriving on the railroad in June 2013 as DGNO 3368 SD40-2. |

This locomotive was delivered to Southern Pacific as GP60 9777 in November 1993 and wore this number until the merger becoming Union Pacific 5876 and getting a new paint job in the process. After a motive power renumbering this locomotive received a yellow patch and became 2076 with a slanted 2 and peeling 7. With the GP60s being renumbered to the 1000s perhaps this locomotive will get a much needed fresh coat of paint. Note the replacement black strut on the lead truck. |

After the '80 recession ended the high speed diesel program this locomotive was returned to a normal SD40-2 3305 in June 1980. In 2012 this locomotive entered the Jenks rebuild shop in North Little Rock and emerged as SD40N 1685 on July 24, 2012. A year and a half after rebuilding and this EMD still looks recently out of the shop while idling at the diesel tracks in Davidson Yard. |

One member of a dwindling group of locomotives on th UP, the Dash 8s, chugs north with a UP manifest freight. This locomotive still wears the as delivered paint scheme applied in October 1991 and is likely to be retired before repainting. |
