| This SD40N has managed to escape posting to this site for nearly a year and a half, until today. Arriving on Union Pacific property as UP SD40-2H 8083, a member of the "Fast Forties" in August 1979 until a recession ended the need for high speed units becoming a regular SD40-2 and renumbered 3592 in November 1981. In 2012 this locomotive entered the rebuild shop in North Little Rock and emerged as SD40N 1682 on July 3, 2012. |
