Missouri Pacific GP50 3507 was parked on the New Orleans Public Belt at Shrewsbury Road in suburban Metairie, Louisiana. It was on a transfer run from the Seaboard System to the MP, and the SBD crew has left the train here for the MP to pick up. For several months up until May 1984 this was the official interchange for these trains. |

TUPELO OK Jan 28 1985 -- Missouri Pacific GP50 3507 leads a southbound TOFC train as it holds the siding waiting for 4-8-4 8444 to pass. Note railfans on the highway 3 overpass in the left background. EMD built the 3507 (s/n 797322-8 in November 1980. It gained Union Pacific yellow paint on Dec 30 1984 and became UP 57 on Jan 7 1988. It was renumbered to UP 967 on Feb 8 1990. On July 12 1993 it was fitted with dynamic brakes.
