Description:  Here is the front side of a "Vanishing Vistas" portrait that was published by Lyman E. Cox in 1972. Photo by Mr. Don Sims. Shown here (L to R) are Penn Central Railroad engines #4925 and #4886. Both are GG-1's (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata and rated at 4,620 horsepower each. #4925 was constructed in August of 1942, while #4886 was built in March of 1939. They're pulling a mail and express train through the Paoli Passenger Station on its way to Harrisburg and points West in February of 1968.

Description:  Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken at Sunnyside Yard in Long Island City, New York, c. 1970. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Penn Central Railroad engine #4925, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata as Pennsylvania Railroad number "4901" during August of 1942 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. The road numbers of the MP-54's and B-1 switchers pictured here are not recorded. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Electric Railroading ~ Penn Central and Pennsylvania Lines" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (868-27).
