When I snapped this photo this old timer had no number or reporting marks. I've since learned this has been numbered 7777 and is owned by the Red River Valley Historical Society. This was located across from Central Station in downtown Shreveport and as far as I know is still there today. |

Originally owned by SWEPCO and donated to the Red River Historical Society for a never launched dinner train. Now sitting abandoned near downtown Shreveport for the past 15 or so years. The two passenger cars coupled to this locomotive have become a homeless shelter, crack house, and toilet. This is a real pity. |

This is the "insturment panel" of this abandoned 70Tonner. The metal placard to the right states "Never Operate Over 35 Miles Per Hour". This former SWEPCO unit has gone from an industrial switcher to a crack house. A sad end for a rare item. |
