(The bicycle in the right foreground was my main means of transportation during my early days of train watching and photographing.)

They are pulling an 82-car merchandise freight train down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East. The caboose is N-8 #478217. This photo taken just West of the 24th Street Bridge.
