The photographer was not identified. Photo Caption: "Graceful Hell Gate Bridge links New England and points south of New York by crossing the East River 140 feet above high-water mark. A New Haven railfan special in on the bridge, owned by the New Haven and Pennsylvania. This engineering marvel is a familiar sight in many American homes, thanks to the famous model that Lionel built for toy trains." The tracks to New York City and points South are on the right of the span, while those to New Haven and points North are on the left. |
