| 7th Street. Here is an original telephoto view that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in March of 1966. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5878 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #5878 is an EP-20 built in April of 1949 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. This A-B-A set has just departed the Altoona Station, and is pulling a mail & express train under the 7th Street Bridge on its way to Harrisburg and points East. |
