| 7th Street. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 8 March 1964. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7070, #9766-B, and #9650-B. All were built by GM-EMD. #7070 is an EFS-17M built in October of 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #9766-B and #9650-B are EF-15A's rated at 1,500 horsepower each; #9766-B was built in January of 1951 and retired in August of 1966, while #9650-B was built in February of 1950 and retired in December of 1967. They're pulling a mixed-cargo freight train under the 7th Bridge on its way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West. |
