Pinecroft. Here is an original photo that I took near Pinecroft, Pennsylvania, on 26 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2249, #2229, and #2206. All are EF-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #2249 was built in May of 1963, #2229 in April of 1963, and #2206 in March of 1963. They're pulling a 160-car mixed-cargo freight train (with cabin car #477243) to Enola and points East. Photo taken at the Riggle's Gap Bridge. |
