CNW 4-6-2 #631 - Chicago & North Western
It appears that CNW 4-6-2 #631 may be sitting in a storage line at the West Chicago Yard. It was originally built by Alco-Schenectady in March of 1921 as CNW #1631 (serial #62697, class E). After several upgrades, the initial "1" was dropped making it CNW 4-6-2 #631 in 1951-52. It stayed on the roster through 10/1/1952 but was presumedly scrapped after that. The photo date shows it made it into 1954. No photographer was listed for this photo which is now part of my rr collection.
