| Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9473, an FP-20 built by Fairbanks-Morse in June of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in September of 1962 after just 14 years of revenue service. In this context, it's undergoing compatibility tests on the Long Island Rail Road. By and by, the LIRR purchased eight CPA-20's from Fairbanks-Morse in 1950. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. |
