| IDC Distribution Services / Fraser Surrey Docks GK10B ‘Green Kid’ #001 parked for the weekend along the Fraser Surrey Docks spurline in Surrey, British Columbia. Built in 2004 by Railpower Technologies from the frame of an old Canadian Pacific SW1200 locomotive, this GK10B ‘Green Kid’ is a 1000hp battery-powered hybrid locomotive built as a demonstration prototype of the GK10B design. She was used as a remote control switcher at the Fraser Surrey Docks in Surrey, British Columbia until around 2018 range when she went into storage on the site. (May 1, 2016) |
