| Parked just outside the shops area but ready to roll is Northern Nevada 2-8-0 Consolidation #93. The loco was built by Alco-Pittsburgh in January of 1909 and served the copper ore mines until retirement in 1961. After being on display for a few years, it was purchased and restored to serve the Northern Nevada RR Museum tourist train in Ely, Nevada. This is a color slide taken by rail fan Jim Lockart and now in my collection. |
