| This good looking 4-6-2 Pacific type steam locomotive was built by Alco-Brooks in 4/1912 originally as CMStP 1522 (2nd one) (serial #51134, class F-5). It was renumbered in 1912 to CMStP 6300, then to CMStPP 6300 in 1927 and finally in June of 1938 to MILW 800 as seen here. The loco was retired in July of 1950. Rebuilt specs - 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 253,000 lb and tractive force of 40,753 lb. This is an Arthur B.Johnson photo now part of my collection. |
