| Framed by his window, the engineer of MILW 2-8-2 Mikado #484 leans out for the photo by rail fan Hanft. Baldwin, 9/1923, nee-CMStP 2-8-2 #8384 (serial #57173, L-sb class) > renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 484. The loco served for 29 years before being scrapped in Novembeer of 1952. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb and tractive force of 54,723 lb. This is an Hanft photo in my collection. |
