| This solid 2-8-2 Mikado was a versatile player on the Milwaukee Road roster by handling both passenger and freight when needed. Baldwin, 9/1923, nee-CMStP 2-8-2 #8383 (serial #57172, L-sb class) > renumbered in July of 1938 to MILW 483. The loco served for 31 years before being scrapped in December of 1954. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb and tractive force of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo which is now in my collection. |
