| This Baldwin switcher was buiilt in January of 1947 originally as Detroit Terminal DS44-1000 #103 (serial #72812) but ended up on the De Kalb County Co-op roster sometime in the early 1960's. From the looks of the photos posted in RRPA, this loco may have met the scrapper's torch sometime around 2013 but its prime mover was saved to possibly live again. Unfortunately, no photographer was listed for this color slide which is now in my collection. |
